Over the past few days, I’ve tried many times to post something on here, but as usual, it’s been manic.
First, last weekend, long weekend, we went camping. It was great fun and even though the weather wasn’t exactly at it’s greatest, it didn’t rain at all while we were there. As it’s the most popular long weekend in the country, the roads were blocked completely with caravans, Sunday drivers and accidents!
Camping in the UK is quite different to camping in Canada for a few main reasons. To start off, in the UK, because campsites tend to be smaller and tent sites closer together, camp fires are illegal. Sure, didn’t stop us from having one in the neighbour’s old BBQ frame! Also, you don’t get mosquitoes here… but you get wild horses sneaking by your tent to smell your food and take a big poop in the most innapropriate places. The atmosphere is generally different in ways I can’t describe too, but maybe that’s down to the way we did things with my family as opposed to the way we do things with friends!
This week, most of my department is in Sitges (Barcelona) for our Sales Conference. Unfortunately I won’t be there to see the presentations we’ve worked so hard on. Most Marketing Executives are there, but a few of us don’t get to go — in my case, it’s simply because I started working as M.E. only a few weeks ago! Hopefully, I’ll make it to the next conference 🙂
That’s it for now, but I’ve got so much more I want to say! Will post again shortly!
