Just a quick note to say this weekend should be fun! Tonight, we’re heading over to Sevenoaks and staying over at Andrew’s parents’ house, so we can leave early in the morning to go to France for the day. Sure we aren’t going much further than Calais, but it’ll be great fun. (Translation: We’ll be able to babble in French fast enough for Andrew and the in-laws to look at us funny, wondering what we’re going on about!)

Montreuil-sur-mer, 1823. Montreuil is where the story of Les Miserables, by Victor Hugo, begins… It’s also where he first started writing the story, which then moves to Paris, in the heart of the French revolution…

Then on Sunday, Andrew will make a fool of himself along with a handful of coworkers, as they attempt to win the local Dragonboat race. They won last year, now they have tshirts to say so. It’s like the British Olympic Team, hype ’em too much and they’ll fail. One way or the other, I’m cheering “Let’s Go Expos, Let’s Go!” 😛
