So I’ve had an email address for over 10 years now and I’ve used chat rooms for nearly as long. I should view Internet as something as common as my toothbrush, right? Yeah, I guess that’s how I think of an Internet connection most of the time. An integral part of my day, and taken for granted when using any computer.

But sometimes, like right now, it still fascinates me. Speaking to mom when she gets to work, finding out Amy’s in Bangalore or talking to Andrew who’s just down the road. It’s all so instant and speedy! Without the Internet, I would probably lose touch with most people very quickly. I’m lazy… like REALLY lazy and I hate phones. I’ll talk the ear off my immediate family over the phone, but anyone else, I need to “relearn” to talk to on the phone. I’m not discouraging anyone from calling me though! 😛

If I had to call everyone to find out how they’re doing, it just wouldn’t happen. So MSN, Email and IRC turn out to be godsent means of communication for me! It CAN be a total waste of time, but at least it’s time wasted socializing!
