Google gets it right (again)

If you’re a Gmail user, you’ll know what I’m about to say. (And if you’re not, do yourself a favour and drop me a line so I can send you an invite, Gmail is just great!)

So, as I was saying, another feature in Gmail, another weapon to Google’s arsenal. Google Chat has only been live for the masses for a few days, but it’s already been very popular.

Google <3 YouGranted, like any other company, Google fails on some new features or products (Google Base for example?), when it gets it right, it gets it REALLY right. Google Chat is a clean simple limited-features chat client, that can be used from within Gmail, discreet and requiring no special downloaded software. It doesn’t do MSN Messenger’s song and dance, but I think that’s why I like it so much.

Reminiscent of the good old IRC/ASCII art days, the official Google Blog shows us how to share the love.

I agree with you. Google got it right with its chat feature. I love it because you don’t have separate application to chat. You just need to chat within gmail. It’s so simple. Google has managed to do it again. Give feature that matters and easy.

By the way, I like your blog design.
