Wish I could
I’m a regular blogger, yep, I think about things I’d like to blog on a daily basis. It’s a kind of illness one develops after a long period of blogging. But I’ve also got a block at the moment, I’ve got so much I want to say that I can’t quite share yet. Don’t worry, it’ll come… There’s some good, some really good, some less good, but hopefully by this time next week, I’ll be able to do what I always want to do when something important happens and blog about it!
I’m the meantime, forgive me for this meaningless rant and bear with me while I deal with things. I’ll give you a little jig to keep you busy.
*jigs, bounces, dances around*
Tadah, entertaining, no?Ok maybe it isn’t good enough but I promise we’ll be back to our regular programming where I rant, bitch and complain about the world sooner than later!
To keep you busy, my fave links of the day:

Macromedia & Adobe
The Register reports the recently announced merger of Adobe and Macromedia, leaders in each their own field. This new monster could either produce the best all-in-one software we’ve ever seen, or could create the biggest bloater in history.
How the companies choose to brand the product could cause them to either suffer with the Microsoft syndrome, used by most, hated by all because of its bloated crummyness. If features get shoved together for the sake of integrating them, it might end up like in some of Adobe’s most commonly used software family, the PDF readers, about 10 times the size of what most mortals need and want. MmMmm 90MB of features no one uses…
Quote of the day:
I hope Golive drops off the face of the planet and into some dimension that the three evil guys from Superman are trapped in. Thats my personal hope atleast. -whitlock -
FC: Day 6, 7 & 8
Morning weight Day 6: 146.2lbs
Morning weight Day 7: 146.6lbs (goddamn curry!)
Morning weight Day 8 (Monday): 146.6lbs (kept up by three course meal!)This week is going to have to be a real exercise and eating well challenge, since this weekend has really stalled any vague progress… :S
I hope you guys are progressing better than I am…
[UPDATE: Kelly’s weekly update on her Fitness Challenge is up too]
[UPDATE: Here’s Jo’s update!! dated Wednesday April 20th.
First Week :
Let’s say starting weight was 133.5 pounds (but I don’t have a scale… I base myself on the last time I was at my parents’ place). My goal is to be at 130 pounds by the 15th of May.So far: I ate healthy meals and brought leftovers for lunch and snacks at work. I haven’t been snacking much while studying, and if so, it was on fruits or yogurt. I’m trying to serve myself reasonable portions instead of copying those of my boyfriend (6’4, 190 pounds…).
I haven’t done much exercising though… L But one of the reasons was, I just moved and didn’t bring my bike or inline skates here yet! On Wednesday, I went for a 20 minutes walk during lunchtime at work.
I’ll do that again for sure, the bikepath besides the Ottawa River is soooooo nice! On Thursday I went jogging (oh how I missed my bike and skates!). I hate jogging! There’s also the fact that I live in a new area so instead of doing a 10 minutes loop of jogging, I did more like 20 minutes. I was suffocating by the end. Rather stupid on my part… Then on the weekend, I ate: chips (a.k.a. crisps), hot-dogs, lots of cheesecake, a few drinks… Not too good! I finally got my inline skates and went twice for 15-20 minutes. I tried to walk during my lunch hour but got caught in the rain so ended up jogging back to the building. I guess that’s one way to force myself to do more… So after a week, results are… Unknown! I don’t have a scale as I mentioned so I don’t know if there has been a difference in terms of weight, but I doubt so. At least what I ate was generally healthy, except for what I mentioned above. I give myself 7.5/10 so far! ;)]

Bonne fête tout le monde!
So many birthdays this weekend!
Yesterday was Julie & Catou, my darling little sisters’s, birthday, turning 19 (OoOOoooOooo!!), but they’re delaying the celebrations till University exams are over because they’re such studious angels. So when I visit in May, I’ll need to take them out to celebrate a bit 🙂
Today, it’s my mummy in law’s birthday so we’re going down to see her in Kent (and we won’t forget our Dartford tunnel coins this time – that’s not a fun experience!) to celebrate a bit! Not quite sure whether we’ll be going for a swim in the pool (brrr!) but it’ll be a lovely day, pictures to come this evening!
Hope you’re all having a nice summer-is-coming-soon weekend 🙂
Mmmm and i slept 10 hours last night… feels sooooo good to get a fuuuuuuuuuuuull night of sleep… *curls back up in the blankets*

FC: Day 5 (one day late)
Morning weight: 145.8lbs (damnit going the wrong way!)
Not much else to say, ate vaguely well, avoided alcohol even though I went to two leaving dos at the pub, had a ham sandwich at lunch, didn’t eat half of it because the Toby Carvery food’s crap! For dinner, we made homemade pizzas (chicken, yellow peppers, pineapple, spinach, salsa & half a ball of mozz each) and I had two slices of it. We had a bit of wine too. So nothing unforgivable for a Friday night.

I'm NOT getting broody, ok mom?
J’veux pas de bébés, I don’t want babies now.
Ok both moms should understand now. But still, how funny are Dooce’s pictures of her little daughter? Gotta love it 🙂 Don’t you want to be that age again and just pull at the dog’s ears and lay on the floor fascinated by the dots of light that excite pets so much?
*flops on the floor* Don’t pick me up, I’m happy down here.

Phew, week over…
Wow this week hit me like a Monster Truck!
I seriously have no idea where time went… so many plans, so many things to do and well, so few of them happening. At least I’ve been sticking at least 75% to my plans but still, the evenings flew by!
I’ve got tons of stuff I want to post, but right now my head is just ready to explode from a week of utter madness and preparing meetings material for hungover sales reps… Ugh thank god it’s weekend!
Oh yeah and I’m getting my hair CHOPPED OFF SHORT tomorrow! It’s about time. If you have any objections, say it now, otherwise it’s chopped and burgundy red again!

FC: Day 4
Morning weight: 146.2lbs (booo!)
Breakfast: English muffin with Flora spread
Lunch: Minestrone soup with wholewheat roll, cup of herbal tea, over 1 liter of water throughout the morning
